I was actually at the Savage Hall game (along with Bravo and Davon) against the team in the blue jerseys where he threw down that sick dunk off the steal at halfcourt. Didn't make it to the game at Anderson Arena, though. JJ seem poised for a hall-of-fame career coming out of Ohio State, but that ankle injury in, I think, his third season w/ the Mavs kinda sapped his explosiveness. And I'm through being nostalgic for the day.
Wow — thanks for posting this. My parents are OSU grads and I grew up in Toledo during the '80s and '90s, but I never saw this reel. JJ looks pretty impressive and intimidating even *with* the Pat Benatar music....
When JJ's OSU lost 75-71 to Michigan's "Fab Five" in the 1991-92 NCAA tournament, an entire day of our family's spring break vacation was ruined. My brother was literally in tears at the end of that game.
